How to use Favicons4Free
Step by Step Instructions
Choose your Icon
From one of the 31 categories on the right-hand side, choose an icon that you wish to use for your FavIcon.
Highlight and Copy the line of code displayed next to the icon (ensure that you copy all of it.)
For WordPress
You will need to edit your header.php of your wordpress blog. Depending on the theme you are using, locate the header.php folder and edit the file by pasting the copied code into the header.php as below...
Just below the
<head>
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.Favicons4Free/flags/icon_0023_16x16.ico"> Please note that the code that you insert will be different from the code above - unless you have chosen the same FavIcon as me; and that woud be freaky, wouldn't it?
Save your header.php file
You will only need to do this once.
Once this is done, you will need to refresh your browser and your favicon should appear.
