How to use Favicons4Free
Step by Step Instructions
Choose your Icon
From one of the 31 categories on the right-hand side, choose an icon that you wish to use for your FavIcon.
Highlight and Copy the line of code displayed next to the icon (ensure that you copy all of it.)
For Blogger
You will need to edit the Template of your Blogger blog. You may wish to save your template first.
You need to edit the file by pasting the copied code into the template as below...
Just below the
<head>
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.Favicons4Free/flags/icon_0023_16x16.ico"> Please note that the code that you insert will be different from the code above - unless you have chosen the same FavIcon as me; and that woud be freaky, wouldn't it?
Save your template file
Blogger may tell you there is an error - if this is the case, insert a / at the end of the inserted text - just before the final > - so that the code looks like this...
You will only need to do this once.
Once this is done, you will need to refresh your browser and your favicon should appear.
